The Taverna Bonacolsi is a typical Tuscan restaurant, located a stone's throw from the centre. The value for money is excellent and the food is delicious! I recommend: the Tuscan cutting board, the legendary Florentine, the peposo, the pici all'aglione and the gnudi. Amazing wines and desserts. Congratulations to all the staff, especially Chef Alessandro.
We were at the Taverna Bonacolsi during the weekend of the literature fair, potentially one of the busiest moments of the year for the city of Mantua. Despite this we managed to come and eat both for lunch and dinner and were greeted with warmth and professionalism. Place, food, dining room staff and kitchen staff all of the highest level, in particular I was struck by the typical ravioli stuffed with pumpkin, exquisite! We will definitely be back.
On a hot day in August we had a very pleasant lunch in this restaurant in the square in Mantua. The dishes are excellent and the kindness of the managers commendable. They also welcomed our little dog without problems and provided us with very useful information for visiting the cultural attractions of the city.
A beautiful surprise in the main square of Mantua. Being a vegetarian it was a bit conflicted, but there are several choices on the menu and the staff was super helpful. And then I ate the best Tortelli Mantovani in the city. I will definitely go back when I get back to the city.
Fantastic experience (literally) 2 steps from the ducal palace. Tradition with Tuscan influence.. Got a tartare and pici to scream! Finally a kind and smiling staff. Advised.
